Dear Racer-Community.
Sorry for not updating the blog for so long, but private incidents in my family, as well as too much business kept me from further development.
I did (and still) get a lot of positive feedback, as well as orders of i.e. 50 seats 8-0.
Proud me, but the orders of the common users were limited by just a materiallist and hints for self building a seat for themselves.
Yes, the initial costs are pretty high for getting a high quality and well built seat, even if I never wanted to earn money with it, but nevertheless those initial costs have to be paid.
In the last consequence I offered a detailled materiallist as well as a link list with all reference adresses for 30€, which seemed to be still too expensive.
Well...that´s not the way business goes;)
I think, it should be worth a little donation for my efforts, as I spent a lot of time into the design and the development...but anyway...never mind!
But I decided to put the development off for an undefined period of time and just wanna build these seats for friends.
But this shouldn´t disappoint you and keep you away of building a seat yourself.
Please feel free to use all the information on this site for building your own seat.
As long as you do NOT build the seat with commercial purposes, I have nothing against, if you guys
are ripping off information from here.
But please avoid asking me for materiallists or any other help, why there´s the good ol´ Goggle? ;)

05.01.2010 - Happy New Year.
The start into the new year was very successful and the inquiries for the RaceRock increased,
but most of them came out of the US.
The next days, I will prepare a construction manual for the RaceRock, but it still needs a few days.
Unfortunately the power supplies for the Aura bass amplifiers are not available anymore,
and I will be hard pushed, as this system was very good and pretty cheap.
This makes it hard to find a comparable system.

Back from holidays, I have to attend myself again to earn some money.
That means, that I won´t update this blog permanently, but in my free time, I´ll try to find some time to tinker a little bit around...on the site and on the RaceRock.
The demands on the RaceRock were surprisingly high the last weeks, many liked my seat very much, but most were detained from buying, as the price of 300 €uro - even if it´s very low -
is not a chicken feed :)
As I won´t earn big money with the seat, I´ll try to keep the costs as low as possible and attractive for everyone.
Therefore I decided to offer the rig seperately, which keeps the cost much lower - nevertheless the rig will be prepared for the desired seat - which can be a cheap used one or maybe one with a lower price.

Nothing really special happened, except the fact, that I got a few mails and questions about the RaceRock, which is pretty cool, after I spreaded the link on http://forum.virtualracing.org
Now my knee operation is 1 week ago and I still cannot really move my left leg.
But it´s still enough to do some races in NFS SHift.
So I was able to set up a new laptime on the Nürburgring: 6:24:850
Not as good as before, but with a damaged knee it´s pretty good ;)

Well...yesterday was a strange day.
3 a.m. in the morning - I was doing a race and just wanted to stand up for getting a drink -
I got a rupture of the meniscus. Jesus, I don´t wanna think about that fu**in´ pain :(
I went to the hospital and got a date for the next tuesday -> operation :(
So I had to cancel some ladder races, that I was supposed to do on sunday. Shit happens...!

The translation of RaceRock.us is nearly finished and my good old, irish friend Mike O´Hare
lend himself to correct my grammer. That´s a very good decision, because as german
guy I really don´t wanna know, how it sounds *LOL*

Now I´m 4th place of the Shift leaderboard as xREGGIEx1875 drove 2 seconds faster than me?
I should feel challenged...but get owned by an aggressive drivin´ nOOb?

After deleting a lot of laptimes from users on the official NFS site, they even deleted mine.
I felt compelled to re-drive my times. In this case I jumped up to the 2nd place of the leaderboard
and two places before my archrival xREGGIEx1875 :)

Literally the Racerock MK1_v2 is finished, I just have to model the Logitech G25 or a similar racing wheel. Therefore I need a few good photographs, until I can model it.
Furthermore I´m working on the translation of the RaceRock-site.
Should be finished in a couple of days.
After I was able to climb up the World-Ranked-List 2x up to the first place,
I think about to start a new career in Forza 2 (just in advance and training for Forza 3)

In ca. 2h, I will work further on my Shift career and hopefully finishing it.

Today´s the day... and memorable.
But the weather is nice, the sun shines, so what´s better than sitting behind the computer and thinking about the RaceRock MK1_v2?
(Others are chilling, enyoing the weather...pahh..how respectable;)
My girlfriend is raping the RaceRock on the Nordschleife...she´s trying to get some clean laps,
I think *g*
In the meanwhile I change something on the site and will be beginning with the v2 in 3D.
Comes up in mind, just a moment ago:
As passioned Corvette and Honda S 2000 Fan, I could invent one of those RaceRock editions.
Immediately searching for a proper C6 or S 2000 seating :)

Die americans are good, but not good enough...and I´m still up and running :)
I´m able to improve my Nordschleife laptimes again - 6:24:870.
But now I examine, that the seating is really water resistant.
It could be a bit more "breathable"...hmmm?

I think the seat is worth it, to get an own website.
The first layout is finished, even if the code is ugly.
I´m still fighting with all that CSS stuff...oh man...I should do, what I´m able to do.
My buddie Flow (inventor of the name RaceRock) and webdesigner has to help me.

14h permanently gaming.
I can improve my laptimes on the Nordschleife dramatically fom 6:35 down to 6:28.
Nice, when the Pagani absolutely clean stays on the track and I don´t get backaches anymore.

I have to change some small things on the seat:
One aluminium profile is to weak. While lifting the seat, the rig bends.
The rig gets rubbers, to get it moved silently and for avoiding meter long scratches in my floor tiles :)

I drive a lap on the Nordschleife, my hairstyle is perfect, the weather rockz!

Today I´ll start to animate and caputre some movies, animations and images about the RaceRock.
Then they will be spreaded on Youtube and watchable under "The Media".

Tremendous driving feeling. I cannot await the FFB under my butt ;)

Against all expectations it was getting better, then estimated.
There are some small details, I have to change, but the seat rockz.
Now it´s time -> test drive!

After 3 weeks of planning, today the material for the first RaceRock arrvies.
Now it´s up to me to get the right tools and to build the racing seat.!
